About
Motivational interviewing (MI) is one of the most evidence-based communication approaches in healthcare. It is also one of the hardest to implement no matter what language you speak. For international healthcare professionals working in English, the challenge is twofold: learning MI as a clinical method, and finding the specific English language structures that make it possible in real clinical interactions. Generic MI training does not address the second challenge. This course does. Over six modules, you will build a complete set of MI skills in English — from the language of open questions through to reflective listening, affirming, summarizing, rolling with resistance, and a fully annotated clinical interaction that brings all five skills together. Every module includes real clinical examples and English language frameworks you can use immediately. What is included: Six narrated video modules — approximately 2.5 hours of instruction Downloadable reference card toolkit with practical English phrases for every skill area 20% discount coupon for an individual coaching session Who this is for: Doctors, nurses, dietitians, and allied health professionals working or studying in English as an additional language. This course assumes a professional working level of English and basic awareness of MI. It is a specialist course at the intersection of clinical communication and language precision.
